Amid rising tensions, Iran’s foreign minister visits Pakistan as speculation grows over fresh negotiations in Islamabad
Iran US peace talks
The tensions between Iran and the United States is going to solve today. The global attention is now shifted toward Pakistan. According to IRNA, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has already visited Pakistan to push the peace process forward.
Furthermore, he plans to visit Oman and Russia as part of continued diplomatic efforts. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Islamabad may host a second round of direct or indirect peace talks between Iran and the United States. Iran has not yet officially confirmed these talks, though.
At the same time, the fact that U.S. security and logistics teams are in Islamabad shows that a lot of diplomatic work is going on behind the scenes.
