The weather in India is about to change again. Right now, several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi, are experiencing a severe heatwave. However, the weather is expected to change soon.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that rain will occur in multiple states, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, within the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, it has also predicted that intense heat and heatwave conditions will continue to affect the plains of northwest and central India over the next 3–4 days.
Moreover, the IMD has issued a warning for 12 states in eastern and northeastern India, where thunderstorms, rainfall, and hailstorms are likely. According to the department, strong winds reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h will accompany thunderstorms and rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal between April 26 and 28. In addition, hailstorms may hit Jharkhand on April 26.
Furthermore, northeastern states such as Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh will receive widespread rainfall this week. As a result, several areas may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
