Iran Clearly Refuses Direct Talks with the US in Pakistan

Despite global expectations, Iran confirms it will not hold face-to-face discussions with the United States during its Pakistan visit

Initially, the world expected peace talks between Iran and the United States in Islamabad. However, national media reports now confirm that these discussions will not take place.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, is currently visiting Pakistan. However, he has decided not to engage in direct talks with American representatives.

Furthermore, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, clarified this position through an Instagram post. He stated that Araghchi will only meet senior Pakistani officials.

During the visit, Araghchi has already met Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar. In addition, he also held discussions with Army Chief Asim Munir.

Earlier, many expected that Iran and the United States might hold direct talks in Pakistan. However, Iran has now firmly rejected any such possibility. Therefore, no direct meeting between the two countries will occur in Islamabad.

Iran has firmly declined direct talks with the United States in Islamabad, despite earlier expectations of peace negotiations during its Pakistan visit.
