Soon, India and Bangladesh will restart their train services for passengers.
Both nations have prepared for renewed railway talks.
These talks will commence on Tuesday.
In the meantime, officials could talk about new train services.
They could talk about launching Rajshahi-Kolkata train service.
Bangladesh is also considering changing Maitree Express route.
Express passes through the Jamuna Bridge.
It could now pass through the Padma Bridge.
However, both countries need to consent to this move.
Meanwhile, three suspended trains could now run again.
Both nations may resume the train service from October.
This train service has been suspended due to disturbances in Bangladesh.
The disturbances started in July 2024.
Due to security reasons, the operation was stopped.
But now, both the nations have decided to restore connectivity.
This decision will be helpful for cross-border passengers.
This decision will also help improve railway connectivity between both the countries.
