Pune has experienced a sudden spell of heavy rain and hailstorm on Monday evening, which has disrupted daily life in the city. Residents were taken aback by the unexpected weather, which has brought some respite from the rising temperature.
Parts of the state experienced intense rainfall along with hail. Dark clouds gathered in the region in no time. This is due to the changing weather conditions and the moisture entering the Western part of the country.
Cloud formations are increasing in the Pune region and the Western Ghats. There are possibilities of scattered rainfall throughout the day. Hailstorms are caused due to high winds rising up to great heights in the atmosphere. This pushes the raindrops into the cold region, where they freeze and turn into ice.
The rainfall has brought some relief from the rising temperature. However, people are advised to be cautious about the weather conditions, which are expected to be unstable in the coming days.
