Clashes, Stone Pelting, and Security Response Disrupt Patliputra Station

Students’ agitation erupted into a violent incident in Bihar at Patliputra Railway Station on Sunday.
Students assembled there to agitate about certain problems related to railways.
The event witnessed hurling of stones at the train as well as vandalism of the train.
Teargas was deployed by the police to subdue the demonstrators.
Blank firing was also done by the authorities to warn the demonstrators.
The protestors were also subjected to lathi charge by the police.
According to Dr. Thyagarajan, Patna District Magistrate, the students were agitating for special arrangements of trains.
Railways had made provisions for special trains for candidates.
Two special trains were available at the station for them.
