Four Drug Traffickers Arrested on Tusura-Balangir Road

Ganja trafficking was uncovered by the Balangir Excise Department.
The raid was carried out on the Tusura-Balangir Road.
The raiders stopped two trucks carrying ganja.
The criminals posed as travelling traders.
In addition, they smuggled ganja by hiding it in the bags containing sarees.
A total of 12 quintals of ganja were recovered by the excise department.
The market value of the narcotics recovered was ₹12 crore.
Apart from that, the excise department arrested four people suspected of being drug traffickers.
According to the report of the investigations, the accused smuggled ganja from Baliguda.
They wanted to transport the drugs via Tusura and Raipur.
Finally, they intended to send the drugs to Delhi.
But the excise department caught them before they could reach their destination.
