Odisha Govt Appoints District Planning Board Chairpersons for All 30 Districts
Ashok Mohanty, Suresh Pujari and others assigned key districts; focus on strengthening development planning across Odisha
The State Government has appointed District Planning Board Chairpersons and assigned leaders to specific districts across Odisha.
To begin with, the government has given responsibilities for all 30 districts. It has appointed Ashok Mohanty for Angul, while it has assigned Laxman Bag to Balangir. Similarly, it has posted Padmalochan Panda to Balasore and Sitanshu Sekhar Mahapatra to Bhadrak. Meanwhile, it has appointed Kanhai Charan Dang for Boudh and Chhabi Malik for Cuttack. In addition, it has given charge of Deogarh to Suresh Pujari and Dhenkanal to Simarani Nayak.
Furthermore, the government has assigned Prithviraj Harichandan to Gajapati and Purna Chandra Sethi to Ganjam. It has appointed Amarendra Das for Jagatsinghpur and Akash Das Nayak for Jajpur. At the same time, it has posted Tankadhar Tripathy to Jharsuguda and Sudhir Ranjan Pattjoshi to Kalahandi. Likewise, it has given Kandhamal to Umachandra Mallik and Kendrapara to Durga Prasanna Nayak.
Moving ahead, the government has appointed Fakir Mohan Nayak for Keonjhar and Prashant Kumar Jagdev for Khordha. It has assigned Raghuram Machha to Koraput and Narsingh Madkami to Malkangiri. In the same way, it has posted Bhaskar Madhei to Mayurbhanj and Gouri Shankar Majhi to Nabarangpur. It has given Nayagarh to Dushmanta Kumar Swain and Nuapada to Jaya Dholakia. Moreover, it has appointed Om Prakash Mishra for Puri, Nityananda Gand for Rayagada, Krushna Chandra Patra for Sambalpur, and Raghunath Jagdala for Subarnapur. Additionally, it has appointed Durga Charan Tanti as a District Planning Board Chairperson.
After receiving the appointment, Ashok Mohanty thanked Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and State President Manmohan Samal. He said that Angul is an industrially important district; therefore, he will perform his responsibilities sincerely. He added that the District Planning Board plays a crucial role in development because it prepares the roadmap for growth. Finally, he called it a significant responsibility and said that although the Board did not function effectively in the past, he will now coordinate with all stakeholders to drive development forward.
