Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visits Suando, pays tribute to Gopabandhu Das, and unveils major development projects for Satyabadi region.
On the auspicious occasion of Odisha Day, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, attended the state-level celebration held today at Suando in Puri district. Upon arrival at the sacred birthplace of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das, he first visited Gopabandhu’s ancestral house and then offered prayers at the temple of the family deity, Shri Radha Binod Bihari. Subsequently, he paid deep tributes to Pandit Gopabandhu as well as to all the great sons of the Odia community.
To preserve Odia identity and revive the glorious heritage of Satyabadi, the Chief Minister announced several important projects:
- Firstly, the state government will make financial provisions to redevelop the Satyabadi and Suando areas; additionally, it will construct a heritage corridor.
- Secondly, the government will develop the historic Bakul Bana into a cultural, spiritual, and educational center; moreover, it will undertake its beautification and expansion.
- Furthermore, the government will transform the Satyabadi region by constructing a grand heritage corridor and restoring local water bodies.
- Finally, the government will take special initiatives to develop the Ratnachira riverfront; as a result, it will promote tourism while ensuring environmental conservation.
