The BJP is going to form a government on its own in Bengal and push the TMC behind. People are talking about how Suvendu Adhikari is now leading the BJP to victory. Suvendu Adhikari is leading the BJP to form the government in West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari is again on the verge of defeating Mamata Banerjee.
In the 2021 Assembly elections Suvendu defeated Mamata in Nandigram. It is interesting that Mamata Banerjee had helped Suvendu Adhikari start his political career. There have been examples like Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar vs Sharad Pawar.
Mamata Banerjee started the TMC after leaving the Congress. Suvendu Adhikari, who came from a known political family became one of Mamata Banerjee’s closest students. Suvendu’s father, Sisir Adhikari was a Congress leader and Union Minister. The Adhikari family had a lot of influence in East Midnapore. Suvendu Adhikari started his career in the Congress and was first elected as a councillor from Contai. He joined the Trinamool Congress in 1998. Won the Kanthi Dakshin Assembly seat in 2006.
Suvendu Adhikaris rise in politics was closely linked with the 2007 Nandigram movement. The Nandigram movement helped Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress end the 34-year rule of the Left Front in 2011. Mamata Banerjee recognized his ability to convert movements into political gains. He won the Tamluk Lok Sabha seat in 2009 and 2014.
As Abhishek Banerjees influence grew Suvendu Adhikari started to feel ignored. By November 2020 the conflict became public. Suvendu Adhikari resigned from his job.
In the 2021 Assembly elections Suvendu Adhikari contested against Mamata Banerjee from Nandigram. Won. Formed the government.. Defeating Mamata Banerjee made Suvendu Adhikari stronger and one of the BJP’s best leaders in West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari is now a leader, in the BJP.
