BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary assumes office; two JD(U) leaders sworn in as Deputy CMs in Bihar

For the first time in Bihar’s political history, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party assumed the post of Chief Minister. Along with him, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers from the Janata Dal (United) quota. Only these three leaders took oath today. Even after the formation of the new NDA government, 33 ministerial positions remain vacant in the cabinet.
Several prominent leaders attended the grand swearing-in ceremony, including BJP CM Bihar and BJP president Nitin Nabin, Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, Chirag Paswan, and Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Before taking oath, Samrat Chaudhary left his residence and visited a Hanuman temple to offer prayers.
