Word is, President Vladimir Putin is making Russia’s nuclear power even stronger because of ongoing problems with Western nations.
Experts are worried the world hasn’t faced this much nuclear danger since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
One of Russia’s weapons people talk about a lot is the Poseidon, an underwater nuclear drone.
This huge drone runs on nuclear power and can go thousands of kilometers underwater. Then it blows up close to enemy coastlines.
Experts are concerned this drone could cause tsunamis that are radioactive, wiping out cities and naval bases along the coast.
Putin has said that no one can stop this weapon.
Russia is also working on another weapon, the RS-28 Sarmat, which is a missile that can fly across continents.
This missile is really heavy, over 200 tons, and can carry several nuclear warheads at the same time.
It can hit a few cities all at once.
They also have other advanced weapons, like the Avangard, which is a super-fast glider that moves at extreme speeds.
Russia has even used the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, another super-fast missile, during the fighting in Ukraine.
The 3M22 Zircon missile is made to hit enemy warships, also moving at super-fast speeds.
News reports say Russia is also building space weapons that can destroy enemy satellites up in orbit.
These reports have made people around the world worried about what future wars in space might look like.
