Rahul Gandhi, the opposition leader, spoke up about the rising fuel prices all over India.

He blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the increasing prices of petrol and diesel.

Gandhi said the government hiked fuel prices little by little.

This meant people were secretly paying more without fully realizing it.

He also claimed these increases slowly emptied out people’s household money.

Gandhi also wasn’t happy with how the government was dealing with rising costs.

He even jokingly called Prime Minister Modi the “inflation man.”

He mentioned that he had been saying for months that financial trouble was coming.

But he claimed the Prime Minister was mostly busy with elections.

After the elections were over, fuel prices apparently went up by ₹8 a litre.

So, Gandhi said the government wasn’t paying attention to the economy.

He also called for everyone to focus on the increasing cost of living.

His comments just made the political arguments about inflation and fuel prices even stronger.
