“Odisha Parab” inaugurated in Ahmedabad; Deputy CM, Smt. Pravati Parida highlighted Odisha’s art and culture.

At the Gujarat University Convention & Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a 3 day event in the name of “Odisha Parab” is being held from 21st March to 23rd March 2026. In which event Odisha’s culture, handicrafts, cuisine, and tourism demonstrations, cultural performances, and authentic flavours will be explored . It highlights the State’s rich handloom heritage, traditional craftsmanship including Pattachitra, and authentic culinary experiences.

After attending the programme, the Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Pravati Parida, visited the Shri Jagannath Temple at Jamalpur and had darshan of the Chaturdha deities.

The event also emphasized the State’s new tourism policy, encouraged investment, and aimed to strengthen engagement with Pravasi Odias. On this occasion, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi; Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad, Banchhanidhi Pani; Chairman of FICCI Gujarat, Gokul Jaykrishna; along with senior officials of the Government of Odisha and other dignitaries, were present.

Later, after visiting the Sabarmati Riverfront, she remarked that it is an excellent example of how visionary planning can transform a riverbank into an attractive tourist destination. Keeping in view the vast potential for similar tourism development along Odisha’s rivers and coastal areas, the Odisha Government is preparing well-planned strategies and focusing on their swift implementation.

She also visited The House of MG, a remarkable embodiment of Ahmedabad’s rich heritage, architectural elegance, and enduring legacy of hospitality.
