Singer, Alka is still struggling with a medical issue known as ‘Sensorineural Hearing Loss,’ which is very rare. It was first announced by the legendary singer in 2024.
An acute infection of the virus caused the hearing problem. Thereafter, she has been recovering from it.
It is a condition that affects the inner ear and auditory nerves. Hence, the hearing becomes extremely difficult.
Infections in ears, ear injuries, and excessive exposure to loud sounds are some causes of the problem according to doctors.
However, this disease can be congenital or develop at any stage of life.
