A major political storm has erupted in Punjab, as Gurdaspur MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa claimed that the current Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is facing a serious crisis. Consequently, he warned that the state may soon come under President’s Rule.

Speaking at a press conference in Chandigarh on Thursday, Randhawa asserted that several ruling party MLAs are actively in touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Moreover, he added that these leaders are simply waiting for the right moment to make their move. However, he firmly denied any possibility of Congress leaders switching sides, stating that no MP or MLA from the party is joining the BJP. In addition, he dismissed the reports about former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi as completely baseless.

Meanwhile, Randhawa sharply criticized the internal conflicts within AAP. He argued that leaders who once left Congress and the Akali Dal are now betraying each other. At the same time, he targeted Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

Furthermore, he expressed serious concern over rising threats, noting that after drugs and gangster activities, signs of militancy are re-emerging. For instance, he highlighted incidents like explosions on railway tracks. Finally, he described the ongoing Assembly session as a mere political tool for gaining advantage and urged all parties to unite and work together to save Punjab.
