Campaigning for the first phase of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election will conclude today in West Bengal, as political parties intensify their final push before voting. The Election Commission has scheduled polling for April 23, and accordingly, all campaign activities will come to a halt by this evening.
West Bengal has a total of 294 assembly constituencies. In the first phase, voters across 16 districts will cast their votes for 152 seats. Therefore, candidates and party workers are making every possible effort to connect with voters and secure support.
On the final day, candidates were actively holding rallies, roadshows, and public meetings to strengthen their position. Meanwhile, senior leaders from the BJP have already amplified the campaign momentum. On the previous day, Union Minister J. P. Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led high-energy campaigns across key constituencies.
As a result, the political atmosphere has become increasingly charged, with all parties aiming to gain a decisive advantage. Ultimately, today marks the last opportunity for candidates to influence voters before the democratic process begins.
