Major reshuffle targets key police stations and security units
Manipur Police transfer
A big administrative transfer took place in Manipur Police on Sunday. As a result, 83 police personnel have been transferred within the state.
The transfer involved inspectors as well as junior commissioned officers. In addition, they were posted at police stations, commandos, and wings.
This was done by Director General of Police Mukesh Singh who made an announcement regarding the same. As a result, the police officers got new postings till further orders.
A number of important police stations were also allocated new officers-in-charges. Hence, better administration is expected in future.
Imphal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kshetrimayum Naresh Kumar has been transferred to the Vigilance Department.
On the other hand, Konthoujam Bobby Singh will now be the Officer-in-Charge of Imphal Police Station.
In the same way, Khumukcham Bedajit will head Porompat Police Station.
Sanayaima Sadokpam has taken charge of Tulihal Airport Police Station.
Security was also tightened in the hill districts. Thus, several officers were assigned new tasks.
Inspector Hesnam Thoiba Singh was appointed as the new Officer-in-Charge of Senapati Police Station.
Similarly, Takhelmayum Rameshwar Singh was made in-charge of Ukhrul Police Station.
Besides, the transfer of officers involved Crime Investigation Department, Vigilance, Special Commandos, Intelligence, Traffic, and Narcotics wings.
Lastly, the Police Headquarters instructed all the Districts’ Superintendents of Police and Commandants to execute the transfer order forthwith.
