Sanjay Raut backs Rahul Gandhi after Women’s Reservation Bill fails in Parliament

After the Women’s Reservation Bill failure in Parliament due to a lack of a two-thirds majority, reactions starts pouring in regarding Rahul Gandhi. During the parliamentary debate, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had challenges by saying, “We will defeat this bill right here.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut responses to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Saturday. He said that Rahul Gandhi had led a movement to save the country’s democracy. He described Rahul as an influential leader says under his leadership, they had turned a major battle into a victory.

Sanjay Raut also said that every state should make its mother tongue mandatory. He added that it is both the government’s and RSS’s policy to prioritize the mother tongue. “What is wrong in that?” he asked. He emphasized that Marathi is the mother tongue of Maharashtra and that people who live, work, and study in a state should know the local language.

In a social media post, he wrote that the Women’s Reservation Bill was a political conspiracy and that it has failed. He claimed that this marks the beginning of the downfall of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his group. According to him, they wanted to win all elections by influencing voters under the pretext of women’s reservation.

He further stated that their plan has failed in Parliament, and they could not increase the number of Lok Sabha seats as they intended. However, they have now realized the strength of the Constitution and their actual power. He wrote that the Prime Minister’s position depends on a majority of just 16 MPs.

“If that number drops, he will have to step down. This is the meaning of today’s developments. Modi’s downfall is imminent. Remember my words,” he said. He added that Rahul Gandhi has now become a challenge for those 16 MPs.

Before the bill was introduced, Sanjay Raut had said that the delimitation exercise being carried out under the guise of women’s reservation is very serious. He accused the BJP of trying to create a political map according to its own interests. He also alleged that the BJP has created a divide between northern and southern states of India, weakening the southern states while strengthening some others to the extent that they will determine the country’s politics. Women’s Reservation Bill failure will impact in 2029 politics.
