In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, C. Joseph Vijay, leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, announced he will contest from Perambur (Chennai) and Tiruchirappalli East.
TVK has released candidates for key constituencies like T. Nagar, Mylapore, Villivakkam, and RK Nagar.
Calling it a direct fight against the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam led by M. K. Stalin, Vijay unveiled major promises:
- ₹4,000/month for unemployed (above 29 years)
- ₹2,500 for diploma holders
- Up to ₹20 lakh collateral-free student loans
- Incentives for firms hiring 75% locals
He also pledged zero corruption, women’s safety, and strong law & order, urging voters to support TVK’s whistle symbol.
