Campaigns Intensify in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu

Political parties ramp up efforts as election dates approach, raising the stakes in both states

The campaigns in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are getting more intense which is making the political atmosphere very exciting.

In West Bengal and Tamil Nadu all the parties are working hard for the upcoming assembly elections. In West Bengal the chief ministers from states that are ruled by the BJP are doing a lot of campaign work. At the time in Tamil Nadu all the political parties are campaigning all day and all night because they do not have a lot of time left to talk to the people.

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah have already done a lot of campaigning in West Bengal. Now other leaders are taking charge including the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath and the Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha. They are saying that the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal is not doing a job with industries in the state. The BJP is also talking a lot about law and order in the West assembly elections.

On the hand in Tamil Nadu the Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi is doing a lot of campaigning and saying some serious things about the central government. He says that the central government is trying to reduce the number of seats in states like Tamil Nadu using womens reservation as an excuse. He also says that this election is very important for protecting the language, culture and identity of Tamil Nadu.

West Bengal will have voting in two parts. The first part will be on April 23. The second part will be on April 29. Tamil Nadu will have voting all at once on April 23. Since the campaigning for the April 23 voting will end on April 21 all the parties are working hard. The campaigns, in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are getting more intense every day, which is making the political atmosphere very exciting.
