UP’s Loni is most polluted city worldwide; IQAir Report has revealed.

The latest report released by IQAir has revealed alarming levels of air pollution in several cities across India, and Loni has topped the global list of polluted cities in 2025.

According to the latest IQAir World Air Quality Report, Loni ranked first in the global list of polluted cities, recording an average concentration of PM2.5 at 112.5 micrograms per cubic meter. It was followed by Hotan and Byrnihat. It is also notable that the top 25 most polluted cities across the globe are dominated by India, Pakistan, and China.

In addition, Delhi ranked as the fourth most polluted city across the globe. Delhi also retains its status as the most polluted capital city across the globe. The average concentration of PM2.5 was recorded at 99.6 micrograms per cubic meter. This is almost 20 times higher than the safety limit set by the World Health Organization.
