An Egyptian Court has sentenced 12 individuals to death.
One of the defendants was Sara Khalifa who is a TV presenter.
On the other hand, the Court found them guilty of drug trafficking.
The prosecution stated that they formed an organised crime syndicate.
The syndicate was accused of bringing material used in drug production.
Furthermore, they were also accused of selling illegal drugs.
Finally, the authorities discovered some illegal arms among them.
However, Sara Khalifa has rejected all the charges put on her.
She said that she had been coerced into taking pictures with the drugs.
Sara Khalifa gained popularity through Mission Impossible.
The programme dealt with matters of crime.

Moreover, about 750 kilograms of drugs have been seized.
Drug ingredients have also been seized.
Besides, nine accused have been given life sentences.
Seven other individuals have been acquitted in the case.
According to Egyptian law, the Grand Mufti reviews death sentences.
Nevertheless, individuals can challenge their decisions.
Previously, Amnesty International raised some issues regarding executions.
It has been claimed that Egypt issued 541 death sentences.
