One dies as four new COVID-19 cases emerge in Andhra Pradesh

A new COVID-19 case has generated health issues in Andhra Pradesh.

A 46-year-old male resident from Kadapa died after being tested for COVID-19.

Doctors admitted him to CMC Hospital at Vellore for treatment.

But he died within four days of undergoing treatment.

According to hospital officials, his lungs got severely damaged resulting in pneumonia.

As a result, doctors admitted him to the isolation ward.

Now the health department is trying to trace all those people with whom he came in contact.

Moreover, the department sanitized the concerned area.

At the same time, four more cases of COVID-19 have been reported.

These new cases have been reported from Kadapa and Tirupati districts.

In addition to this, the Medical Education Director inspected the hospital.

Other information sought concerned oxygen, ventilators, medication, and testing equipment.

The availability of ambulances and the strength of health professionals were also reviewed.

Based on government figures, close to 530,000 individuals had succumbed to the virus by the end of 2022.

Nevertheless, the World Health Organization believes that this number could be understated.

In the meantime, public health officials advised everyone to keep their cool.

They asked citizens to stay vigilant.
