TDP-led NDA celebrates its victory in Andhra Pradesh municipal elections

TDP-Led Alliance Wins Nine Municipal Corporations and 75 Civic Bodies

YSRCP election setback

I am thrilled to see the TDP-led NDA alliance secure a victory in Andhra Pradesh’s civic elections.

The TDP-led NDA alliance won nine of the state’s 13 corporations.

Elections did not take place in Srikakulam and Amadalavalasa leaving those areas without a vote.

Court cases prevented polling in these two bodies stopping the voters there from having a say.

The TDP-led NDA alliance also captured 75 of 86 municipalities and nagar panchayats.

However TDP rebels won chairperson posts in Nellimarla and Salur showing some disagreement.

The TDP-led NDA alliance also delivered a victory in Visakhapatnam, which feels like a big win.

The TDP-led NDA alliance won 98 of the 120 Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation wards.

The TDP secured 64 wards emerging as the party in the city.

The TDP-led NDA alliances allies, Jana Sena and BJP won 26 and eight wards, respectively.

TDP candidate Mukka Sravani also won the election adding a personal triumph for the alliance.

The YSR Congress Party suffered a setback, which feels disappointing.

The YSR Congress Party secured 13 wards compared with 59 in the previous term showing a sharp decline.

Independent candidates won eight wards while CPI(M) secured one ward indicating a spread of parties.

The TDP-led NDA alliance celebrated its victory with fireworks and sweets creating an atmosphere.

Meanwhile YSRCP alleged malpractice, raising concerns about the fairness of the elections.

The YSR Congress Party also suffered a setback, in Kadapa district, which is a tough loss.

The YSR Congress Party won seven of the district’s 279 municipal wards a small fraction.

The TDP-led NDA alliance reportedly won six municipalities unopposed showing support in those areas.
