JDU MLA Revises Claim About Nine Deaths Linked to Nitish Kumar
Nitish Kumar controversy
Controversial comments by Anant Singh, MLA of JD(U).
Caused political upheaval in the state of Bihar.
Singh said nine persons lost their lives because of his support to Nitish Kumar.
These comments were made prior to the elections for Bihar Legislative Councils.
Singh, according to reports, had reacted to the nomination of his rival, Neeraj Kumar, by the JD(U).
On the other hand, RJD criticized Nitish Kumar regarding the comments made by Anant Singh.
Shakti Singh Yadav, the leader of RJD, commented that there was political association with criminals.
Shakti Singh Yadav pointed out that this was an open confession by Singh.
However, JDU clarified that they had nothing to do with Singh’s comments which were personal in nature.
The spokesperson for the party, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, defended the political career of Nitish Kumar.
Subsequently, Singh modified his comment and said that nine of his associates were murdered in the period of rule of Lalu Yadav.
These persons supported Nitish Kumar, according to Singh. Singh was shot at once but escaped unhurt, he added.
These claims remain unverified.
Voting in the Legislative Council elections will be held on October 23 for eight seats while counting will take place on October 27.
