Alliance differences deepen as DMK rejects VCK’s unity proposal
VCK DMK alliance
The differences between INDIA group members are now more clear in Tamil Nadu.
DMK, headed by M.K. Stalin, did not consider any understanding with Vijay’s TVK.
Moreover, VCK, who used to be an ally, requested DMK to remain in the same bloc in the nation.
Thol. Thirumavalavan, who is the leader of VCK, proposed this request.
The examples of Kerala and West Bengal were pointed out by him.
These are the states where there are competing partners in the alliance in local politics.
But at the national level, they cooperate.
Hence, he requested DMK to do so too.
Congress was supportive to the proposal of VCK.
The party said that unity should take precedence over political differences in the opposition.
But DMK rejected the suggestion of Congress.
It stated that Congress betrayed the alliance in search of political benefit.
It was observed that Vijay had always called DMK his political opponent.
Generally speaking, both Congress and VCK want to form an alliance against BJP.
On the other hand, DMK keeps charging Congress with political treachery.
This shows that the incident is indicative of emerging differences between INDIA factions.
