Temple Flooded due to Heavy Rainfall

A total of nearly four feet of rainwater flooded the Swapneswar Mahadev Temple.
The temple is situated in the Talagarh village, Athagarh block, Cuttack district.
In spite of all that happened, the priests did their rituals everyday.
Moreover, the devotees continued praying in the flooded temple.

Lack of Proper Drainage System Led to Flooding

Construction work for a bridge is going on near Champapur on the old Cuttack-Sambalpur Road.
As a result, the rainwater could not be drained out from the Kontia canal.
Hence, the rainwater flooded the temple premises.
The temple sanctum got flooded with water.

Devotees Offer Prayers Everyday

Many devotees of Lord Shiva arrived at the temple on Monday.
They came to take blessings from the temple despite heavy flooding.
Moreover, they offered prayers in spite of such adverse situation.
