UDF wins 102 seats in Kerala Assembly elections
UDF historic victory
The United Democratic Front (UDF), led by Congress, won big in the Kerala Assembly elections, taking 102 of the 140 seats. Because of this huge win, V.D. Satheesan, who’s set to be the next Chief Minister, will be sworn in on Monday at 10 AM. That’ll happen at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Kerala Governor will officially swear in Satheesan and his team of cabinet members during what’s expecting to be a big ceremony. Lots of senior Congress leaders and well-known politicians from all over the country are expecting to be there.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are all planning to come to the swearing-in. CM from states where Congress is in charge, like Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh, are supposed to be at the event.
Word is, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay has also been asked to come to the ceremony. This swearing-in is probably a big deal for the Congress party, especially since they’re back in power in Kerala with a really strong majority.
