SJTA Issues Advisory: 5-Hour Darshan Ban for Ram Janma Niti in Puri Shree Mandir

At the Jagannath Temple, the darshan facility for the public to view the deities will continue to remain closed for 5 hours during the Shri Ram Janma ritual, informed the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.

Today marks the sacred day of Ram Navami, which is the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, revered by millions of his followers. At the Puri Jagannath Temple, after the completion of the Madhyahna Dhupa offering, the Shri Ram Janma ritual will be observed. During these 5 hours, from 5 PM to 10 PM, the darshan facility for the general public to view the deities at the temple will remain closed.

According to scriptures and Puranas, Ram Navami marks a day to remove darkness from our life and to be inspired by the ideals of Lord Ram. It gives us an opportunity to spend quality time in the divine presence of the Lord.
