₹114 Crore Beautification Project Announced for Biraja Temple in Jajpur ;-Prithviraj Harichandan, Minister of Law, Works, Excise Government of Odisha

The work for the beautification of the Biraja Temple will be done by incurring an expense of ₹114 crore by the state government. The project for the beautification of the Biraja Temple in Jajpur will start very soon. Minister of Law, Works, Excise Prithviraj Harichandan informed this in media during a press conference held at the Jajpur Circuit House in 23rd March 2025, that these initiatives aim to enhance the infrastructure and overall experience for devotees and pilgrims.

As part of the project, various developments will be made to the temple of the Goddess, the place of birth, Brahma Kund, the main entrance gate, an interpretation center, ,development of the surrounding area, establishment of Biraja Haat, restoration and beautification of Brahma Kunda, construction of an interpretation center and dharmashala, renovation of Hati Pokhari, development of Maa’s birthplace, Brahma Kunda, the main entrance gate, and other facilities for devotees and visitors.

He also asked the concerned departmental officials to complete all the projects within the stipulated time frame so that the shrine of Maa Biraja could be transformed into a modern and attractive religious tourism spot with a comfortable and well-equipped environment for the devotees. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Badachana MLA Amar Nayak, Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo, Jajpur Collector Ambar Kar, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Yudhishthir Nayak, former BJP district president and senior BJP leader Gautam Ray, senior BJP leader Babita Mallick, Chief Engineer (Buildings) Priyabrata Samantaray, Chief Construction Engineer of Cuttack (Roads & Buildings) Circle Trinath Behera, Superintending Engineer of Panikoili (Roads & Buildings) Division Komal Kumar Swain, and many departmental officials.
