Stone and egg attack damages vehicle during Serampore-bound journey

Kunal Ghosh, senior member of TMC, had his car attacked in Hooghly district.
This event took place while he was on his way to Serampore.
According to reports, he was heading to a party organizational meeting.
A group holding black flags blocked his car.
The group also chanted slogans during the protest.
After that, stones and eggs were pelted on the car.
The attack broke the back windscreen of the car.
Ghosh criticized the security arrangements following the attack.
He asserted that there were no policemen at the site.
He also said that he would lodge a complaint later.
The attack provoked political reaction in West Bengal.
Asit Majumdar, TMC MLA accused BJP of the attack.
However, the BJP denied this claim.
Dipanjan Chakraborty, BJP leader denied any involvement of his party in the protest.
He stated that this was an angry public demonstration against the government.
The perpetrators of the attack remain unidentified.
