The police in Mahoba have filed a report against Congress leader Ajay Rai.
This is about a political meeting that happened on May 22.
Former Congress leader Brijraj Ahirwar is also facing accusations.
About 30 supporters were also named in the complaint.
The police report says the organizers didn’t get permission from the authorities beforehand.
Apparently, several vehicles also blocked public roads near the place.
Because of this, locals reportedly had trouble moving around.
The police were there to handle the traffic and keep things orderly.
Meanwhile, the complaint also said Ajay Rai made some offensive comments.
A video of him speaking then started going around on social media.
This caused political arguments to really heat up among all the parties.
The complaint claimed these comments could mess with social peace.
And it also said the statements might encourage people to be divided.
The authorities filed the case using the relevant rules from the BNS.
Leaders from the BJP really slammed what was said.
C.R. Kesavan, for example, called the comments unacceptable.
He also wondered why the Congress leaders hadn’t reacted yet.
As for Congress, they haven’t given a full explanation yet.
This whole thing just adds another layer to the ongoing political fight between the BJP and Congress.
