Emergency Medicines, Advanced Equipment and Rescue Team Sent to Nepal

India has delivered the fifth shipment of relief materials to flood-stricken Nepal.
The current shipment of assistance comprises 5.5 tons of emergency medicines and state-of-the-art equipment.
Also, an 11-member rescue team has arrived in Nepal.
Nepal is grappling with the after-effects of the floods and landslides that occurred last week.
The shipment of aid was delivered via a special airplane of the Indian Army.
The external affairs minister of India, S. Jaishankar, posted the update on his X account.
He confirmed that the fifth relief plane for Nepal had taken off from the country.
In addition to this, with the new shipment, India has shipped 68.5 tons of relief material to Nepal.
Toll Rises Over 1,000
As per the report of Nepalese authorities, the flooding that occurred has caused the death toll to exceed 1,000 deaths.
At the same time, about 4,000 individuals have gone missing in the aftermath of this calamity.
About 12,000 individuals have been rescued by the rescue team.
The floods have badly affected the infrastructure of Nepal.
A total of 35 motorable bridges have been swept off the surface.
Additionally, a total of 45 suspension bridges have also faced complete destruction due to the floods.
Moreover, the floods have also swept off a distance of 40 kilometers of paved roads.
These damages have badly affected the transportation services and rescue operations in these areas.
