Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
They had bilateral discussions on the margins of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
The discussion included India-Iran ties, trade, connectivity through Chabahar Port and latest happenings in West Asia.
The meeting gains relevance considering the tensions that exist between the US and Iran.
The discussion takes place against the backdrop of disruptions in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
