Defence Minister stresses trained forces remain decisive for victory

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that AI could change future warfare.
But he also clarified that conventional military power would still be necessary for winning battles.
According to him, resolve and properly trained soldiers ultimately win wars.
Rajnath Singh made the statement on Saturday.
The Defence Minister was addressing at the commissioning ceremony of INS Mahendragiri.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited built the stealth frigate.
INS Mahendragiri is the sixth and last Project 17A stealth frigate.
Besides, Rajnath Singh said that advanced technology cannot supersede traditional military strategies.
He further termed AI as an amplifier of modern-day military prowess.
Also, he appreciated the rapid growth of the defence and aerospace industries of Andhra Pradesh state.
INS Mahendragiri has a displacement of 6,670 tonnes.
The warship has a speed of up to 28 knots.
Besides, it can handle aerial, surface and underwater threats simultaneously.
