On the occasion of World Water Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi attended a special programme held at Lok Seva Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, and visited the photo exhibition titled “Pratibimba.”

He emphasized that “Water is life.” Understanding the essence that without water life ceases and with excess water also destruction can occur, he urged everyone to ensure proper management and judicious use of water. He highlighted that conserving water resources for future generations and ensuring their protection and proper management is a collective responsibility of all.

He said that the government is committed to delivering clean drinking water to every individual, especially those at the last mile, guided by the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas.” In the face of climate change challenges, the primary goal is to transform water conservation into a mass movement and ensure accessible and safe water services for all.

On this occasion, several irrigation infrastructure projects were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid to strengthen the state’s water management systems. It was expressed with hope that these projects will prove to be milestones in building a “Prosperous and Developed Odisha” and will significantly contribute to the economic upliftment of the farming community.
