An interest subvention (interest refund) programme for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) was held on 24th march 2026 at Mission Shakti Bhavan. On this occasion, interest relief amounting to ₹208.35 crore was distributed to more than 2.76 lakh SHGs. The initiative is expected to encourage women to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations.
During the programme, the importance of cyber security in the present digital era was also highlighted.
The event was attended by the department’s Commissioner-cum-Secretary Ms. Manasi Nimbhal, Additional Secretary Mr. Jyoti Shankar Mahapatra, Joint Secretary Ms. Mamata Barik, and UCO Bank General Manager Mr. Bhagwat Singh Bhakuni. District-level officials and other associated officers also participated in the programme through virtual mode.
