Naveen Sets 11-Point Agenda for Monsoon Session

BJD has chalked out its plan for putting pressure on the Central government during the forthcoming Monsoon session of Parliament.
On the other hand, party president Naveen Patnaik has held the BJD Parliamentary Party meeting at Naveen Niwas.
Patnaik has called upon his party MPs to strongly raise their issues related to Odisha and press the Centre for replies.
There were altogether 11 issues of importance related to the state’s interests which formed the agenda of the meeting.
Apart from this, BJD has decided to put forward their issues in Parliament in a strong manner.
BJD will give priority to the issues of the state’s farmers.
There will be raising of issues related to shortage of fertilizers and delayed seed distribution.
Moreover, irregularities in the procurement of paddy from mandis would be taken up by BJD.
Besides, the issue of revision of coal royalty would be raised by BJD.
Apart from this, the issue of pending Mahanadi water dispute would be brought up.
They would also talk about the increasing cost of basic necessities.
The party would talk about the failures in the Union Budget.
Apart from this, the BJD would talk about the worsening law and order situation in Odisha.
Moreover, the party would talk about the increasing cases of mob lynching.
Also, it would ask about the delay in the social security pension distribution.
Mr. Naveen Patnaik told the MPs to safeguard the interests of the 45 million people of Odisha.
Thus, this meeting indicated that BJD would be a proactive opposition party in the coming Parliament session.
