He will campaign today for the coming elections. For the first phase of voting, he will begin his campaign from southern West Bengal, commencing from Cooch Behar. Mr. Modi is expected to inaugurate the Vijay Sankalp rally at the Ras Mela ground, which is located in Cooch Behar. Mr. Modi will participate in a road show as well as campaign for the party’s candidates. During his campaigning, he will talk about his BJP’s perspective on developing West Bengal.
He is likely to attack the Mamata Banerjee-led government on law and order problems and corruption. On the other hand, the visit of the Prime Minister has sparked fresh excitement amongst the party cadres and candidates. Thousands of cadres are beginning to assemble in Cooch Behar, while common citizens have begun coming to meet him.
In contrast, the BJP has issued its fifth list of candidates for the West Bengal assembly polls. Out of 294 विधानसभा seats, the BJP has announced the names of 292 candidates so far.
