Study reveals women drive more safely with higher average driving scores.
Driving safety report
There have been claims that men are better drivers than women.
However, recent studies have found out that women drivers are careful and safer drivers.
In spite of mockery of women drivers on social media, current research disproves that myth.
Over 4.5 million rides from 17 states in India were analyzed.
Moreover, 55 million kilometers of driving were analyzed by researchers.
Telemetry data of the Juno SmartDrive was used for analysis.
As a consequence, women received average driving score 92.86.
Men received average score of 92.43.
Though there is insignificant gap between these two scores,
women proved to be better drivers than men.
Thus, this report disputes the assertion that women are bad drivers.
In addition, it proves that women stay more attentive while driving.
This report also reveals causes of accidents.
Over 80 percent of accidents occur because of driver’s behavior.
Poor roads or defects in cars are not primary causes of accidents.
Moreover, hard braking and overspeeding continue to be the major errors in driving.
The research has established that weather conditions have a small effect on driving habits.
Nonetheless, the state of mind of the driver and driving duration have a considerable impact on accidents.
For this reason, safety professionals recommend that drivers should always be vigilant, abide by traffic regulations, and drive safely.
