At the valedictory ceremony of the 24th National Para Athletics Championship held yesterday at Kalinga Stadium, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the winners and participants. He said that the spirit of “never giving up” shown by the athletes is a great inspiration for all of us.

Overcoming physical limitations, the achievements of the participants prove that nothing is impossible with strong willpower. He expressed pride in the outstanding performance of Odisha’s 40-member team and conveyed his firm belief that these para-athletes will bring glory to Odisha at the global level in the coming days.

Under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our government is committed to developing Odisha as a world-class sports hub. To strengthen sports infrastructure at the grassroots level, an allocation of ₹4,124 crore has been made for the construction of stadiums in all 314 blocks of the state.

Additionally, there are plans to build a state-of-the-art world-class sports complex at Gothapatna to provide all necessary facilities to athletes. He further expressed that this journey of sporting excellence will continue, contributing to the making of a prosperous Odisha.
